I don't know if yours is adjustable. If it is one of the adjustable ones, look in the C4 tech tips under How to adjust your early TPS/idle speed.
If it is not an adjustable one, then you don't need to adjust it, the computer does the adjustments for you. Do you have an idle problem, that is usually the IAC motor.
I don't believe its adjustable on a 1990. I know its not on a 91. Prior years had slotted holes where the TPS mounts so that you could rotate the unit for adjustment. 1991s do not have these slotted holes and I don't believe 90 did either. I've read on here that some have elongated the bolt holes for adjustment purposes, but I've never touched mine and have never had a problem
OK OK , I was just making sure ,,, I am just trying to figure out the car little by little..... I just wanted to know if it was adjustable? In case I ever needed to.......
I have started a little book with all the little tech tips that you all post and wanted to add that to the book,,, because I have been reading about it in other threads
Thanks guys
No its NOT adjustable!! Trust me, I just went down that road a week ago. Set base idle w/ IAC extended & unplugged & then after hooking volt meter to the TPS found that the holes are NOT slotted.
