Does anyone remember the bubblewrap in our shifter????

a few weeks ago, and didnt know why it was there......today I took it apart, and it turns out the lower shifter boot was ripped and this was jammed in there to keep everything out

I'll tell you what, without the bubble wrap that boot tear makes your tranny tunnel/console hot enougth to cook eggs on,,,,I had a torn boot too,,,been there done that!

I have to cut the tunnel to fit the new shifter in
Tremec or Richmond???
BTW - don't throw the cut-out tunnel piece away...(email/PM me)... :D
