When I use windex, etc. to clean windshield, it still seems to leave wiper marks on glass. Have used rainex before...could this be the problem? Have tried straight vinegar and this didn't work. Windshield is only a year old and have never used anything else but above items. Any ideas on how to really clean a windshield? Thanks in advance..
For a really clean outside, I use Bon Ami kitchen cleanser. ONLY Bon Ami. It doesn't have the abrasives of normal kitchen cleansers, that will scratch your windshield. I haven't tried it inside because of all the messy powder. Good luck, and...
There is something called Bar Keepers Friend that I saw recommended on Crank and Chrome (a speed Channel show) for really cleaning winshields. Like Bon Ami, it's a powder and is non abrasive. I tried it and it worked on my back window.
GM Glass Cleaner from any GM dealer. I think it,s about $4/can, not sure because the last time I bought it I got 4 cans. I use it all around the house also. GREAT STUFF!!!!
What bogus said..... and I use Stoners Invisible Glass and newspaper, does a good job for me.
:chevy
Stoners is AWESOME. I used it to clean my windshield on the GS and it was so frikkin' clean I could not believe it. Added bonus was that the haze that always came back on the inside no matter what I used to clean it has been gone for a couple of months with no return. Very good stuff. :yesnod:
