Default LT1 Exhaust

My 92 vette has punched cats and no mufflers all the way back. Needless to say it BARKS! I want a little mellower sound but no way near quiet. I have been considering magnaflow mufflers or a B&B catback system. I like it loud just not illegally loud!!! Any ideas what is the best way to go??

I got the Mangnaflows for $335.00 from performance peddler. My system is stock other than that, but I get a really good mellow sound from these mufflers. Not quiet but not crazy loud either. You can’t beat the price for an all stainless muffler with really nice looking tips either.

I just clamped mine, no problems with them at all. They are real easy to install too.

92-96 same diameter. But they seem to bottle neck down intering and exiting center resonator and mufflers.

they bottleneck down to 2.5" going into the passanger side converter, and into both mufflers..

I'm having a hard time finding 2 3/4" mufflers. Am i just looking in the wrong places or are you guys using a different size (like 2 1/2" or 3" inlets)?

Just use three inchers. It works fine with welding.

I think the 229.00 ones are for the non-stainless steel, "aluminized" kind, and it has the stock-looking exhaust tip on there, looks kinda cheesy.

The 399.00 ones are the stainless-steel 2 true-dual exhaust tip ones, mirror finish, "3-inch mandrel-bent".

hmm...

:iagree: That is correct, but you can get the stainless from PP for $335.00 shipped to your door.
