Upgrading the front brakes to C5 has been on my list of things to do. It's not my top priority at the moment but I'll eventually get to it. But now I'm thinking. I see the C6 has 13.5" brakes. At first glance I thought it was the same C5 rotor and caliper carried over. Closer measuring shows 13.5" though, and I saw it in print too. The C6 also has an 18" front wheel. So I'm curious if this setup would fit inside the 17" a-mold rim. Can somebody who has the C5 upgrade take a look and see if there is enough clearance for an extra 1/2" diameter? The performance difference between the two may be nil. That's something I'll still have to decide if it is worth doing. But first I want to know if it would even package inside of an a-mold. The Z51 C6 will have cross-drilled rotors. That's what I'd eventually like to get.

I respectfully disagree! Baer and Willwood offer very little real improvement
over the stock C5 set up
Vette and Vette Fever magazine did installas and got what amounted to a few feet improvement for thousands of dollars.
The stock C5 fronts and the DRM bias spring, along with the right pads, are an awesome and very cost effective improvement :D
So I guess being able to stop 3 feet sooner and not plowing into another vehicle or obstacle is something to save money on  It's not just the initial stopping distance. It's the resistance to fade, that is something you can only get with larger better components.
Ever wonder why you can go into the C5 section and find calipers......People who use them, have them spread, the pads taper easily and they don't resist fade.
