help window

Is there a trick to getting the locking mech arm to detach a the mech end. It seems that this is the last thing attached to the inner door plate. It has a metal slip over the end of where the locking arm attaches by the latch and I don't want to damage it. Gentle prying is not getting it done.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It may take a little force with a flat blade screwdriver under the tip.
