Another Front spring lowering question(s) again - sorry
Ok, vette's up high on stands so I thought I would tackle this too since it needs ball joints. It's a vert so I have the crossbrace hanging down a little lower than coupes. I have got the poly wedges and I thought I would install them, and shave down the rubber end caps on the springs and wrap them with this rubber roofing membrane material that we use for residential roofing. What is the total drop I can expect? What about slicing those poly strips in half with a dremel? If somebody can host a pic, I can prove that I really do have a vette! :D

IM Agent86, and ask him, he has pics.
Here's one of my Z51, and that was about 2" not high enough. The non-Z51 springs have more arch to them, and so the car needs to be lifted higher to get them out... agent86 has the non-z51 spring.

Just be careful when you lower the jack (with the end of the spring on it), be sure you know how your jack handle reacts when twisting it to lower it, don't want any sudden suprises.........

Is that your garage or your kitchen? :lolg:  :lolg:
I want glass doors for my garage cabinets. Whats up with the pillars?
That my friend, is the new Northern VA. Without pillars and gourmet cabinetry in the garage, you are the laughing stock of the neighborhood and in violation of some sort of HOA code :jester :jester

You missed the most important part. The car will be lower when you let it down.. so put wood under the tires... or else you'll get your jack stuck in there in a bad way.

Ah, jealousy is an ugly thing :D Actually if you like the garage, you should see my kitchen!!! I just got done building the house. Had two extra columns from my front porch that I didn't need. Built a rack above them that holds about 8 tires. Underneath, I have my tool chests. The cabinets I got in trade for some other extra material I had. I have all of my corvette models in there. The pic doesn't show my beer fridge in there
I did get the spring out at that height yesterday. A-arms are removed to replace ball joints. GM wants $117 each!!!! Found TRW's for $58 apiece with lifetime warranty. Ski, if you see this, I believe you said that you removed your end rubber pieces on the spring. What did you replace the rubber with?
