I have an 86 and one front wheel bearing has some play in it... are the front hubs adjustable?? I replaced the rear at $150 each....am I in for another $300??? Thanks
Not sure about the '86, but I know on my '94 I replaced it with a unit from a '94 Firebird for over half the cost they wanted for the Corvette one. The only swap I had to do was to swap some mounting bolts. I think it is different for the '86 but may be worth checking out alternatives.

Can you elaborate on that statement? I'm looking at replacing the fronts on my '95 and that would be a good thing to know before I dug into it.
Thanks,
Jay
Check the flange thickness on some of the non Corvette and other than OE units. Many of the C4 replacements are the same bearings/hubs in different boxes, but there are some other suppliers that make the actual bearings/hubs that use a thinner flange. I know two guys that broke them.
The F-body hub has threaded holes in the flange whereas the C4 hub is unthreaded, using nuts and bolts instead. FWIW in the pics I have, the F-body hub flange is thicker, but that may have to do w/ different brands as well.

yes this i noticed too that the flange was about 1/4" thicker on the Fbody ones than the Vette one when i switched mine out
