On my 85 I welded one bung about 3 inches downstream of the stock O2 AND on the same location mirrored over on the other leg of the Y pipe. Make sure the WB O2 sensor ends up vertical up, or at an angle up. Never horizontal. You want moister/condensation to "run off" the sensor to avoid thermal shock when starting up.
