I don't know about that T-Ram, SLP no longer offers it. Makes me wonder if it's any good. It looks like it'll fit under the hood. Are you getting the manifold too? I'd think they whole system would have to be used, not just the plenum only.

The guy wants 150.00 for the plenum and 250.00 if he finds the intake
There was only 100 made,,, I am not going to tell him that,,,but, I am going to grab the plenum anyways and hopfully I can find a intake afterwards :smash:

I have no expeerience with this manifold but I tried to buy one from SLP. They guy on the phone told me that they were the greatest thing but they are no longer casting them. I have kept one eye open for one for a while. I am very happy with my super-ram but am interested in trying the t-ram. If you try it and dont like it consider me if you sell it. Good luck I hope it works well for you though.

This isn't meant to start a debate and I don't want to rain on your parade but I think if you do some research, there were more than 100 of them built. I know a well known speed shop owner near me that has three complete T-Rams sitting on a shelf collecting dust and he's running a SuperRam on his car if that tells you anything. (I'm not going to post his name because I'm sure he wouldn't want a zillion people asking him about them) They were probably good intakes in their day however that was in 1990-1992. Let's see.....I think at that time 386 processors were considered Fast too:)

That may be true,, I have heard that the super ram in some opinions are better,, I think it depends on the set up, though, wouldnt you agree. I should have clarified my post, there were 100 built in 92........ And I believe for $250 bones this is a great deal for me or for anyone for that matter,, I am going to try and do a little more research on it,,,,, I am going up tomorrow and check it out,,, and buy it,, if it is in good condition, I will post some pic's of it..... Thanks for the advice

The only reason there were only limited amount of T-rams available is because the molds were destroyed in a fire at SLP.

More info: The SLP T-Ram intake manifold is designed from the ground up as a high performance intake for 1989-92 Tuned Port Camaros and Firebirds. Dyno tested on a Summit Engine Shop 383 small block, it made 46 more horsepower than a stock TPI manifold at 4500 rpm and even beat out Accel's Super Ram by almost 6 horsepower 4500 rpm.

The T-Ram's runners are 11.5" long for good torque production and have an "inside out" design for high volume airflow. Air flows in from the throttle body and out to the side chambers, where it is smoothly "rolled" down the intake ports and into the cylinder heads. (Your stock Tuned Port Injection crossram style manifold's runners must be kinked to clear the ports for the opposing cylinder head. That kink causes turbulence and disrupts airflow, causing power production to falter above 4500rpm) The fuel rails are cast into the manifold saving you the cost and hassle of having to purchase them separately.

Its innovative design gives the T-Ram the broadest torque curve of any TPI manifold sold -- 1500-6500 rpm. And if you need proof on how good the T-Ram is, check under the hood of the 1992 Pontiac Firehawk

Found some pic on web

Which doesn't peak till 5400 anyways. So?

Yet they don't state the HP curve, makes you wonder. :)

Funny...the speed channel just had a special on about the Firehawk and the T-Ram. They seemed pretty quick. I, personally, likethe looks of them better than the Superram....but if I had to go on looks alone, I would choose the Mini-Ram II

Don't ask me why I have a 1994 SLP catalog :)
But here is a scan of the T-Ram page.
Lets see if this posts OK.

If not it is here, full size http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c4/iris/./slp.jpg

Air has to make alot of turns in the T-Ram. That can't be good.

Certainly looks different...I'd like to see the dyno curves above 5250 RPM. Finding parts could be a minus. The thermostat housing could be a real problem if it's not avaliable. I know Jeb had to do some mods to his single-plane, at least on the proto-type. Can't hardly beat that price though.

Good Deal!!! I want it!!!! It's a great intake.
I have heard that they will not fit under a vette's hood (not 100% on that). So you going to have to give that to me since I have a camaro ;)
