Strange Vibration
It happens only at 1000 rpms, while driving and/or while I am sitting still with or without the clutch in.
At first, I thought there was something stuck in the fender well, it has that tire rubbing feel.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Glenn

Just got back into town.
The vibration happens at 1000 rpms during both driving (regardless of speed) and just sitting there.
It doesn't matter if it is hot or cold.
Thr tranny tunnel has always been warm to hot in my opinion but I don't think it's the exhaust rubbing.
As for the only location, it seems to be against the tunnel.
However, my girlfriend told me she felt underneath her feet the last time I took it out.
At first I thought it was the u-joints, but it even happens when the car is still. I am starting to think that it might be the harmonic balancer. But the balancer still looks good.
Thanks again,
Glenn
Hey,
Just wanted to let you know that you were absolutely right.
I finally got tired of the noise so I took it in and they told me that it was my was my exhaust.
A while back, I went to a resturant and hit a mahnole lid that was sticking out of the ground. I didn't think it did any damage, but I guess I was wrong.
Anyway, thanks again.
Glenn
