Default Need troubleshooting advice
I have an 89 L98 Corvette that has a problem and I need some advice on how to proceed. After a drive I noticed I had a very rough idle, and fuel was in my oil. I also notice a lot of crankcase pressure. (Fuel and oil was spraying from valve cover gaskets). The PCV valve is good and compression is about 150 psi in all cylinders.
I'm thinking intake gasket...
Any suggestions? :confused:

Sounds like one or more of your injectors has a major leak. Does your tailpipe emit black smoke, as in a super rich condition?

That was the first thing I changed. I purchased the Bosch injectors from Five O motorsports along with an adjustable pressure regulator. I just drained the oil pan and had at least a gallon of gas mixed in with the oil.

recently had the same problem in my V8 Range Rover and it was the O2 sensor telling lies and causing overfuelling. New sensor fixed it.

Changed the oxygen sensor and it cleared up the problem. I took it for a ride and everything is fine. Thanks for all the suggestions. :hurray:
