I'm thinking of changing my exhaust in a month or so & I was just wondering which muffler do all of you think is better? Borla or Corsa?
I am going from the cat back also.
My car is an auto.
Thanks
Ive got the new style Borla system that just came out called the "stinger" witht the single large round tips. Honestly, the construction and quality was top shelf (high quality ss) and the fit was perfect. Even the clamps were the smooth compression type and not the old school two both pinch type. The sound is AWESOME above 3000 rpm. Below that is quite a bit of resonance. If the targa top is off it isnt bad but witht the windows up and the top on it is really bad. Just means I need to crank DOKKEN "back for the attack" up to 10 listen to George Lynch shred his ESP kamikaze !!
Corsa is truly amazing. Lots of technology in making that product work as advertised. Check some of my recent comments on using Corsa on my 383 race motor and no cats. Awesome!
I think we all can agree that deciding between Borla and Corsa usually comes down to the sound. Both products are made very well and are asthetically pleasing. The difference in performance between the two is nominal. Borla's mufflers have a very pronounced growl and a good deal of interior resonance. The "Stinger" series turns the volume up even more. Corsa mufflers are a bit milder. The mufflers have considerably less interior resonance and the sound still has a nice growl when you're heavy on the GO PEDAL.
