I have the Chilton, Haynes and the factory manuals. The factory manuals from http://www.helminc.com are by far the best (they are costly, but are worth it, if you plan on doing your own repairs).
Get the Helms manuals on either eBay or http://www.helminc.com .
Another good book is Charles O. Probst's book "Corvette Fuel Injection & Electronic Fuel Management ('82-'01).
It does a nice job of explaining how fuel injection/PCM is intended to function. There's nothing ground breaking here but its a great foundation.
