Performance Chip on Ebay
I found a couple of performance chips on ebay and am just wondering if anyone has heard anything about these specific ones. The guy has really good feedback and I'm just wondering if it's worth a try. I know everyone is going to flame this post b/c most performance chips are a gimmick, so I want to know if you know anything about this specific chip, have had experience with it, or know someone who has.

A typical off-the-shelf chip will do any or all of the following:
-bring fans on at lower temp
-shift TC lockup to slightly higher RPM
-modify the spark advance curve
-increase fuel at WOT
A year or so ago I got a HyperTech Stage 2 chip on e-bay for $50 to see if I could squeeze a few more ponies. It made no difference so I sold it for the purchase price. But I already had achieved the above goals by other means.
For that price I would give it a try as you can always sell it if not satisfied.
Of course avoid static discharge when handling the ECM with the EPROM cover off.
