Default low coolant display 91 coupe

My low coolant light is on all the time. Level is good and no overheating. Where is the sensor and anyone else have this problem???

the sensor is on the side of the surge tank - that's where you add the fluid.

make sure its connected... thats the first thing I would check...

I am not sure of you can just get the sensor - it works much like a toilet bowl float.

the tank itself is about $35.00 from Superior Chevy, a forum friendly vendor.

The level sensor is in the top of the radiator, just below the filler neck.

If it's not registering I suggest you replace it, though you might check it first. I believe it should show very low resistance when level is up and very high resistance when level drops below the sensor.
