I have recently seen the SES light come on while backing out the driveway. I did what I needed to do and when I pulled it back into the drive the light went on again. I have pulled the codes on my 90 a bunch of times. Heck I even made a ummm Diacom cable (not to sell but because I am thrifty) to use on the 90. I am leery of sticking anything in the ALDL of the 96 though. What is the easy inexpensive and surefire way to check the 96 please?

For free? The price is right. I did do some searching after I posted and found a source for scanner hardware/software. They are a few miles from where I work also. The Autozone visit sounds like a great short term solution. Thanks!

I wonder if they didn't want to have to port the LT5 over to OBDII logic?
$$$$$$$$$$
The cost to modify a LT-5 with OBDII would have added to much money for a $30K option whose platform (C4) was only going to be around another year.
