Default LT1 piston height?

Anybody know? Can't find in Helms. Is stock height above, below, 0 deck? How much on average? Thanks

Somewhere I found that the LT1 is supposed to be .035 in the hole. I haven't confirmed that but it works out on the compression ratio if you calculate it that way.

Is that figuring with a 54cc combustion chamber? That's the number I was given for it. Thanks.

Yes that's with a 54cc chamber.

I got the numbers somewhere that the valve reliefs are worth 3.55 cc's so that's the dish, the top ring is .3 from the top of the piston, the OEM gasket is .049 with a 4.1" gasket bore. The pistons are supposed to have a .001" clearance in the bore. Do all the annoying math and you get exactly 10.5:1 compression ratio.

If you've got Microsoft Excel or something that can read an Excel document you can check out my handy spreadsheet.

I've written it myself and evolved it over the years. When something comes up that I think I'll need I add it.
