I agree with Nathan, the PFC "Z"'s are pretty good. I just put a set of pads on my car yesterday and they stop real well. It takes a lot of pedal pressure when they are cold, but they heat up pretty quickly and then will stop quick enough to pull the fillings out of your teeth. My old pads that came on the car took a little heat before they were real effective, so it didn't take much to get used to the new pads.
Hi Guys
I'm comimg over to South carolina this week to see mydaughter( from UK) and need to replace my discpads....which ones to use...i do drive my Vette hard but dont race it and dont mind a bit of brake dust or disc machining but want the car to stop when needed!!

AutoZone stores sell a Performance Friction Z-rated pad that does a good job. I got my brakes hot enough to boil my fluid one time and the pads never once gave me any sign of fade. They're a real good pad for the money.
Just make sure you get the Performance Friction Z, the operative element here is the 'Z'. The regular Performance Friction won't stop a riding lawn mower.
