RIMS
HAVE back tires are 315 x 35 x 17
1988 (z51,z52)
front & rear 17"x9.5" 56mm (7.4" backspacing)
Goodyear Eagle ZR, P275/40ZR-17
WILL these fit without rubbing
1990 (zr1)
front 17"x9.5" 56mm (7.4" backspacing)
Goodyear Gatorbacks, P275/40ZR-17
rear 17"x11" 36mm (7.93" backspacing)
Goodyear Gatorbacks, P315/35ZR-17

The 17x11, 38mm offset is the ZR-1 offset. They will stick out on a non-Zr1 considerably, probably about an inch or so.
What you want is the 17x11s with the 50mm offset (GS offset). They will probably stick out a tad, but only about .25" or so.

I Have the stock rims on the car now with 315 x 35 and 17 inch rims. They stick out now a wee bit maybe an inch, probably less. I'm guessing with the 11 inch rims and the same tire they will not stick out any further? What sticks out now is the tire. and not so much the rim. Is there concern for something rubbing in the back?

After considerable research it seems that I do want the GS rims
front 17"x9.5" 56mm (7.4" backspacing)
rear 17"x11" 50mm (7.93" backspacing)
Anyone got SOME?
These will go on an 88 red Rodster, black or chrome?
