I had a small leak coming from the input shaft seal so I gave Lucas a try. Car was ok for about 2 days and they it started to shift funny. It got so bad I had to do a flush to remove the crap I put in. After the flush it shifted fine again. I guess a 6 dollar bottle of goop is no replacement for the real fix. I plan on having the seal replaced next month anyway. I bet there will be a bunch of posts saying Lucas is the best stuff they ever used, it may be, but Ill never use it again...........Buy the way....It still leaked after I put it in.
My tranny was slipping between first and second gear right at 40 mph, I changed the filter, fluid and added a quart of Lucas and I'm know running the car down Englishtown. I'm not saying it was the Lucas, it may have been the fluid and filter replacement. I do know the tranny is fine for now.
Good luck
I tried Lucas in my power streering system. I had that old morning sickness problem where it would stick and had dead spots. Cured it. I was amazed...
I used that too. It stopped a big leak I had at the rack and pinion assembly. It worked. I don't know about the Transmission Fix, as my trans is behaving like it should. :D
