I voted for "Cut-back spark plugs" because it can be applied to any SBC but, for an '88-'91 L98 I think "Toss the frisbee" has a slight edge in CHP gain.
Though not realy "free", a 160deg stat & fan swith is right up there too.
A disk that acts as a "damper" mounted on one of the pulleys at the front of the engine. GM added this to the later L98's to absorb vibrations. I believe from the Air Conditioning System. This "frisbee" adds drag. That is why guys remove them and toss them aside. My 86 did not have one. :D
