Well, I got the missfire to go away.. so I think all is well with the ignition system..
However, while I am driving, the motor seems to be surging a bit.. and the rpms are a bit jumpy.. like it cant get into rythm. I just changed to a PCMForLess chip, and changed the opti at the same time.. Does this sound more like something wrong with the ignition, or like the programming isnt quite on.. Also, I suspect my sparkplugs may be a little on the dirty side (she has been running rich for the last thousand miles or so) so that may have something to do with it as well..
I HAD a PCMFORLESS chip and it was horrible. Surging and LTerm near 160 at all times. I went round and round with that guy to get it right. After 6 times he still couldn't get it straight. I finally gave up and bought the stuff to tune the car myself. Best move I ever did. When I read the PCMFORLESS tune with TunerCat the tables looked like the Grand Canyon, what a hack job. Save yourself the headaches an learn to tune it yourself.
I have been tuning it myself.. have all the equipment.. but havent been able to get anything real good.. oh well.. I'll see if they can fix it.. if not, I'll be asking for my 50 bucks back.. lol..
