Default HELP!!!!!

One of our forum members Mbbriggs wanted to buy my Flowmaster Force II cat back system. Over the weekend my brother and I got the exhaust off. Problem is I can't get the pieces seperated. Here's what happened....

I originally had the exhuast installed at a local muffler shop. They installed it using the included U-Clamps. The clamps were on so tight that they actually bent the the pieces together. You can see indented marks where the clamp was around the each section of tubing. I tried having three guys pull the pieces apart but nothing would budge.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting this apart or is it a lost cause. I certainly can't ship it the way it is from Michigan to California without paying an arm and a leg. I really feel bad because I got this guys hopes up and now odds are I can't send it out.

Heat the outside pipe. Even a propane torch may be enough.

I'm having the same problem with my rear y-pipe and mufflers after my header install. Needed to remove them to get things realigned properly. After trying everything, PB Blaster, Heat, pulling like crazy, I'm finally going to a muffler shop to get it removed and put back.
If all else fails you might try taking it somewhere, they have to deal with stuck pipes all the time. Hopefully you don't have to cut them off, but its not the end of the world if you do, just not as pretty.

Heat it with a torch and hit it with a dead blow hammer it'll come apart everytime... But you'll need a acel/oxy torch to generate enough heat. You might want to just take it to a local muffer shop and they can do it for you for a few bucks.
