'95 LT1 Coupe Sport seats Left side of the drivers side side support 'pad' doesn't move to 'snug' you in. The right side moves, as does the passenger side supports. (No manual, layed off, back operation in 30 days. Life is not good except for driving my car and I like things to work as they should.) Any help(job, new back?) greatly appreciated and no, I don't want any cheese with the whine. Thanks for any help.
Two options, Have them refoamed and covered by Mad or one of the many corvette catalogs or buy off of eBay. I bought two mint condition sport seats off eBay for between $700-$800.

And how is that going to fix the bolster function on the sport seats? :skep:
The bolster is opperated by a long winding spring that brings the bolsters together (tightening) or apart (wider). I suspect if one is working and the other is not, you might have broken the mounting tabs for the bolster. or it's broken elsewhere.

And how is that going to fix the bolster function on the sport seats? :skep:/QUOTE] Well the seats in most auctions come complete with all hardware. I had the standard seats and replaced them with the sport seats and all was functioning upon receipt. The refoaming will not help.
I have the same problem in my 95, only its the right side. Was the seat easy to get apart? I've been putting this one off for fear of an expensive repair. Please post the the final solution and how tough it was to fix it. :yesnod:
Well on an '88 it's a major PITA to take apart. My shop manual shows a simple break away diagram of the seats and it looks straight forward. The covering is the problem.
I only had to replace the bladders in each seat and that was quite enough "fun" with sport seats. I had to remove the lower hog rings and those half-way up the back to exchange the bladders.
The seats in the 95 are entirely different than in the 88 (changed in 94). The side bolsters are "inflated" by the same pump, located under the passenger seat, as the lumbar bladders. Since the other side works, the pump is obviously working so the first thing to check is remove the seat bottom and look at the five air hoses running from the seat bladders to the control unit on the seat base - it's entirely possible the air hose has gotten crimped or damaged as the seat moved forward/back on the track and if so the repair is as simple as fixing the leak. If the hose is intact, the problem is a leak in the bladder itself and that requires the bladder be replaced.
