I have 3.73's that I bought from Randy's Ring and Pinion at http://www.ring-pinion.com (1-800-292-1031). These are the HD gears with a D60 pinion gear and a D44 ring gear. This is what they sell for the Viper's and Vettes. These come in a Yukon box but they are dana gears.
I had mine installed professionally by a diff shop and they are perfect... no whine, nothing. The gears and install kit came to about $325. Don't forget to get the odom gear for the tailshaft housing. I got mine from Jeff Kopp for a couple of bucks.

You'll like these gears a lot!
Mike
What is included in the install kit? I called tom's Differential and they want $228 for the 3.73 set and said all I need is the Side bearings and races for another $30.
As for the speedo, I think the 45 tooth Driven gear will work and be close, but not perfect.
The install kit replaces everything inside the diff with the exception of ring and pinion. I have been told to not go cheap here... replace everything (shims, bearings, etc). I think this kit runs about $90. Call Randy's and they will tell you.

I totally agree on not going cheap. I was curioous what was all included so I know what I am getting.
thanks
This is why I don't generally respond to the gear threads... because everybody has a different opinion on what to get and where to get it. I can only tell you about my own experiences.
This is what I have in my car and I am very happy with it. I do a number of DE's a year, running six 30 minute sessions at a time... shifting at 6000 rpms on every shift. These gears have not had a problem one.
The people at Randy's were very friendly and knowledgeable, and their gears seemed to be first rate to me. But again, it's your money... do what you feel is best for you. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Mike, thanks for the info I will definitely be calling Randys withint he next couple of weeks. Since you knwo the ring and pinion are Dana pieces that is the route I will go.
