Tach filter again
Hi looking for the tach filter on my 93 LT1 found a little square box with tape around it has three wires located just below the coil connection, Is this the tach filter? If not where should I look for it at/ Thanks :confused: :confused:

yes, that is the tach filter. Mine is located towards the top of the engine block, passenger side of the car and has a black and white wire (two blacks I think) coming out of it.
If memory serves me correct, the white wire is cut because there used to be a MSD ignition in it. MSD isnt hooked up but the tach still works with the cut wire. I've still yet to figure out what this filter really does :confused:

there was a set of wires that came out of my msd, that plugged into wires that came off the ignition coil (i believe this to be the case, its been a year since I played with it) or the MSD plugged into the ignition coil, I really cant remember. The tach wire was just cut, and not hooked up to anything. I thought I had a picture of this somewhere on my hard drive but cant find it :banghead:
