Hey, I had a problem with the throttle position sensor, and replaced it.
The idle is better, but occasionally it fluctuates at stop lights and even stalls...
Any help...
'85 350 w/ 80K. Only mod is flowmaster mufflers. I'm thinking of new rotor, cap and coil, Accell or MSD? thanks...
I am having similar problems with my 89 and I have checked on-line (ecklers, MADVET, CC, etc) for the IAC and the price seems to be around $70-$80. Where did you find one for the $28? Thanks
Hey, I found the TPS and IAC valve at my local parts chain; Advance Auto Supply. I was surprised that they had those parts "in-stock" . I'm in Massachusetts and don't know what parts stores you have arount the area. The IAC was really fouled up, but I kept it just incase the new one didn't work.... Good luck.
I had same problem 2yrs ago with my 93Lt1 . It would stall out on me at a light and it also had a eratic rpm range at idle. I replaced all kinds of sensors that didnt help. Reading through my owners manuel there was a little section in there that delt with this problem. Put your car in park, run the Rpm's up to 2500 and hold it there for 2 minutes. This clears out clogged O2 sensors. My problems where over. Try it , What do you got to lose? :beatdeadhorse:
