What can I do about A.C. comp. bracket being broke
The compressor bracket snaped. Was removing the comp. wile an engine rebuild. The pice holding the too sides together witch snaped across the tentioner pulley moulting surface as well. Where could I buy one from? If I need to. I know someone that has a welder that welds alluminum. Can I have it welded back together? Or would that not be strong enough. Any ideas :thumbs:

If that's the big aluminum bracket which cradles the compressor + the tensioner bolts to, GM still sold them two years ago. BTW: you can replace it without removing any lines, if you're careful. There is one kind of hidden bolt, too.
Mine was broke and the belt kept riding to one side of the pulleys.
