Help! Idle problems
92 LT1
Here's the deal.
When I first got the car, upon cold startup, it would idle up and slowly settle down to "run" idle. about 800-850 rpm, maybe 750...it's been awhile.
Now on cold startup, it won't idle and smells like it's running rich. After warm up it will slowly start to idle and finally end up at "run" idle of about 675.
I removed the TB and cleaned it and the IAC. no difference...does the same thing.
Bought a TECH1 and tried to turn the IAC idle up...won't do it...it appears to run up about 25-30rpm, but then as soon as I exit...back down again. On the screen of the TECH1 for IAC it shows "desired idle" and "idle rpm". When I use the "up" arrow all it will change is the desired idle.
Other TECH1 info: Throttle plate "0", volts at idle .60. Advance: 24 degrees.
Is there anyway to test the IAC? Even though I clean it...I don't think it's working...or at least doesn't appear to be....
Anything else?

i banged head against a wall for an idle problem. Measure the injectors. That was my fix.
