Need some help with my 90
1990 Coupe,114k on the odometer.
changed cap,rotor ,wires,plugs and coil
car is 100% stock other than I gutted the cats.
Driving the other day and alt. went out so I swapped it (under warranty) from Advance Auto and the one I got was bad as well so I got another and it seems fine except now the car runs fine for the most part but every once in awhile it will go into limp mode and run like crap.Doesn't do it all time but sometimes it does it alot.Car backfires and gets terrible mileage,also another thing thats strange is the speedo quits when this goes on...I'm puzzled any of you guys experienced this problem ? some are telling me that its the 02 sensor that I need a heated one?Part number ?source?
I'm questioning that since I gutted the cats over 6 months ago and had no problems until now.....Bad ECM ? Bad alt smoke something ?
Oh yeah I have Gordons box and I can't get any check engine codes.
SYS light falshes all the time but it always has
