Hi, does anyone know about a rough idle problem while sitting at red light, in gear , foot on brake? The local chevy dealer sold me a gas "cleaner" P.N. 89020804 and told me to "Go for a long drive" So I did, but the idle is still rough. any suggestions ? thanks :chevy

Re: rough idle (94pologreen)
Another thing to check is the cleanliness of your throttle body. There are threads here that tell you how to do it. If the throttle body is dirty the blades do not close all the way resulting in a rough idle.
Check the fuel injector resistance as TRWSD90 suggested, each injector should measure around 16ohms. I had the same rough idle problem and after doing a full tune up the rough idle was still there. I found two injectors that only measured 5.4 and 12.0 ohms. After replacing the injectors, the engine ran fine.
Before I did all of this, I used fuel additives which didn't help.
