Default Mini-ram=less torque????

I finally got my car street legal today so I could drive it on the street. I put about 70 miles on it, and it runs strong with the old SR chip tune I had. The torque seems to be a good higher than it was with the SR. I was doing about 50MPH and dropped it into 2nd while giving it some gas and the rear end fish tailed and about took the side of my parents car out. From a drag race type start I was able to bark in 2nd with the SR. With the Mini-ram I not only barked going into 2nd but the rear end shifted to the right for a second. I had my datamaster hooked and noticed the BLMs were high meaning it was running lean. So I check the fuel pressure which I had not been able to do yet. I was only running 30PSI. I upped it to 45PSI and WOW!!!

So, far I am happy with this intake. I just hope it keeps up.

The miniram will provide more air because it is a low restriction intake. The SR trades the restriction for a tuned range of RPM (power band).

To each his own...I choose the MRIII because there was no way that the SDPC/edelbrok intake was ever going to support 500HP!
