I want to put a set of guide plates on my LT1. Is there a certain way it has to be done or do you just remove the rocker stud, put the plate under it and tighten the stud back up? Thanks, Ray
I would imagine your heads do have dummy guideplates right now, unless somebody has removed them? Your rockers should be self aligned and in no need of real guideplates btw. Or are you perhaps replacing them with non self aligning ones (and pushrods with hardened ones)?
If so, I think you just remove the dummies and replace them with real ones.
I don't have dummy guide plates Toni. I am replaceing pushrods and rockers like you say. Right now there is a 3/8 rocker stud there with nothing else. I want to replace it with 7/16 stud and guide plates for my pro comp non-self aligning rollers. Do I just remove the old studs put down the guide plates and screw in the new studs? Thanks for the help, Ray
