Let's play "Name That Part"...
Does anybody know what this part is or the part number? I just pulled this off and it was so brittle that it snapped off.

that is the vacuum check valve which controls the heater vacuum lines.

Mine did the same thing. Replaced it when I first got the car. About $6 (too much) at a GM dealer.

Mine broke as well, superglued it and it has been fine so far... (1yr or so)

Mine broke just last week :lol: I posted a picture of it on here also...I got the part # for the replacement part :lol: I then went to Auto Zone and bought the last one on the shelf :yesnod: :thumbs: :thumbs: $2.95...well spent! :thumbs:

Got the new valve in. I used pliers to gently pinch the rubber hoses to break loose the brittle pieces that were still in there. That made it alot easier to get it out in pieces so the new one would slip right in.
