6 speed swap question

6 speed swap question
I have an 85 with a standard shift, and want to upgrade to a 6 speed. Would there be any problems swapping out with a 90's ZF 6 speed? I had heard something about torque arm and drive shaft length being an issue, but I am not sure if the 90's styles are shorter or longer than what I currently have. Any advice and input on this issue would be appreciated. Thanks.

I did the exact same swap on my 85 and had no issues with either torque arm (tube) or the drive shaft both fit perfect .I also was able to use my existing flywheel instead of the dual mass .I am sure others on the forum have done the same swap and will have even more info ...
