I need a little info on R & R of the battery in my 87. I know that fender panel comes off so the battery can be RandR'd. Does anyone know the sizes of the nuts, bolts, whatever I need to bring with me to get the job done. I dont want to bring the whole tool box, just what I need. Does anyone know the wrench size for the battery terminals.
Re: Remove and Replace battery in 87 C4 (Don in Vermont)
The Battery Terminals should be 5/8" and the Torx inside fenders I forget maybe T-25? There is also a single 10mm nut near where the door and gill panel meet that has to come out. I forget the size of the battery holddown nut.

Neither the service manual nor the Haynes give sizes, and I don't remember, take the tool box, you need an open end for the bottom bolt-loosen but don't remove, you will need a ratchet and extension for the top bolt-remove, you need a torx or tx30 to remove the panel from the wheel well, and you probably need a wire brush to clean bat. terminals-funny :D I can't remember if the bolts were metric or US standard-take the tool box ;)
