Re: HELP: fuel pump relay shorted to block....any damage??? (wildone)
what color is the wire that gets the 12v from the battery....i checked all the wires none had power.....anyone have the schematic for an late 87
how do you repair a fusable link.....cut and solder or replace.
Re: HELP: fuel pump relay shorted to block....any damage??? (wildone)
Not sure off hand but if you remove fender and battery you will see a clump of fuse links. You will probably see or feel the burnt link. Replace with correct guage fuse link by cutting and soldering. I "think" it is the orange wire not 100% sure though. A burnt link is easy to see.
Re: HELP: fuel pump relay shorted to block....any damage??? (wildone)
well ...found the fusable link....fixed it....and now hear the fuel pump kick on when i turn the key.....
but the car seems to be drawing too much current and killing the battery.
i tried a battery box....drew it down too much and didn't start......could be a low battery box....but i don't think so.
could i have damaged anything else from this relay grounding out?
