Hi
I have a question for those who understand the LCD displays on the 87's.
This car is brand new to me and when I drove it home I noticed that 1/2 of the display was not lit. The functions were working but no light. What type of light source is in the displays module ? bulbs ? EL panels ? Any help would be appreciated.
Its probably just one bulb the way you described it, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace all 4 considering they're all probably the same age.

about the "dont have to remove the cluster" thing- he might have to. I recently bought new bulbs for mine. WHile I didnt have to take it apart to get the old ones out- my new bulbs came with the litttle plastic "mount" permanently attached. Requiring disassembly to install the new ones.
I cant seem to find any 882 bulbs locally. My local Chev dealer says that the L94 bulb is what is now called out in their parts list. Do you know if the L94 is a direct replacement ?

Re: LCD display on my 87 (Don in Vermont)
I found some at Wally-World. 'bout 6 bucks a piece. Everywheres else they run almost ten. Check the net, always a deal out there in cyberspace.
