Fan 1 is the fan behind your radiator OR the LEFT/Drivers side fan if both are mounted behind the radiator.
Fan 1 comes on FIRST when the engine temp gets to the Fan 1 turn on temp.
Fan 2 comes on if Fan 1 doesn't provide enough cooling to keep the engine temp from getting to the Fan 2 turn on temp.
I thought the Aux fan (FAN2) in front was controlled by a switch in the cyl head. Is this parameter just not used in my application?
Depends on the year of the Vette. I believe on 94+ Vettes both fans are controlled via the ECM programming. On older Vettes only one fan is controlled by computer the other uses the temp switch.
My 90 is ECM controlled. What is the broadcast code on your ECM? Someone here has a match, I am sure. If it has a second fan thermostat, it should be on the engine left side between cyl 1&3.
I'll get into my ECM tonight to see what broadcast code I have. I did notice via a different .ecu file that the same parameters were differentiated by whether the A/C was off or on.
