Default Heater core bypass 91 model

Well, as if I haven't had to fix enough problems on the Vette in the last few weeks, now the heater core has gone out. Since the heater door has been stuck for the last few years anyway, I figure I will just bypass the core.
I looked at the hoses and it appears to me that all i need to do it remove the bottom hose entering the fire wall and reconnect it to the upper reservoir where the top hose is currents running. Am I right? I want to be sure before I cause more problems. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you just need to mate the upper and lower hoses together (similar to the TB by pass). That would take the heater core out of the flow.

BTW - nice car, I should know.

Thanks, you have a nice steel blue as well.
I assume that the heater core hoses are the only ones that go throught the fire wall. Since the one hose just makes a short run to the upper reservoir tank, running the other hose to that location is effectively the same as joining the two hoses. The pressure of the system won't be affected by doing this will it?

I'm trying to picture it in what is left of my mind as the car is at home..... The heater hose would come out of the front of the intake, through the TB (or bypass) and to the surge tank with the heater core out of the loop. I don't think it would cause a problem since the core is just another radiator anyway. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
