SYS flashes on cluster when I first start the car..

It flashes 3 times, then goes right to my water temp reading(it's what I keep as active).. Does it mean anything??

battery...when was the last time you replaced it?

Ugh - NEVER, but it's another thing I can thank the guys at the stereo shop for , they completely killed it, and since then that's been flashing...... :banghead:

I had the same problem--changed the battery and no more flashing SYS.. :thumbs:

Does it ever flash while you're driving it? If it does it's very possible that the aftermarket stereo caused it. There is a lighting circuit that goes through the BOSE garbage, if it doesn't see the proper resistance it can cause said light, however it does it while you are driving, not just when you start it up.

Yup... means voltage is below full charge &/or required amps after start up are very high. As a side note you can't always trust the SYS lite to warn you. Mine didn't and i just replaced my 84 month batter on Wed. Got 91 months out of it so I couldn't really complain... At least I was in town & had access to tools & a ride to the parts store. :smash:

Ok, I was wrong - After being a bit more observant, I noticed it's flashing randomly the entire time I'm driving. My VOLTS gage is reading 14.7V.

Did they do something wrong when hooking the system up??
