cheapest LT1 header??
I'm looking for some cheap Long Tube LT1 headers.. everything i've seen so far is +500 bucks.. :eek:
I remember when you could get small block vhecy headers for 99.00 bucks! I'm not looking for anything pretty.. and it doesnt need to have emissions fittings (I can weld those in myself). Will L98 headers work? are they cheaper? thanks!

well hedman makes a c-4 header. They are probably the cheapest. Although I dont have any experience with L-98 headers, I have been told that they bolt up to the LT1

The cheapest route is Hedman but they suck. Get Hookers 2151's and put your own AIR tubes in them. Have a look at my sig thread. :yesnod:

I have a set of the Hedmans on my LT1. I bought them because they were cheap and I've had good luck with Hedmans before. There's no smog or O2 fittings on them, and they're not coated. But for the couple of hundred dollar difference in price, I figured it was worth a shot. In the two years they've been on the car, I've had ZERO problems with them. Performance-wise, I think they've helped, as well. I've sunk alot of money into this car, but I just couldn't justify $400 or better for a set of headers.

I have heard nothing but bad things about them here. Mostly things about them fitting properly and also things about them being warped from the factory. :crazy:
