Power Windows
My drivers side power window motor failed this weekend on my '86 Coupe.
I have a newer model motor and regulator to install ( original was the early tape type). Does anybody have a copy of the Template to install the newer model. I believe the bolt holes must be drilled in a different location.

Are you sure it's the motor and not just the switch?
My driver's side window wouldn't go down last week (1986 too) and it was the switch. Cost $7.21 at Chevy.

No, It's been slow for some time, thats why I got the new reg & motor. It goes down slowly , goes up stops, goes and finally up. Pass side was done before I bought the car works fast and well.

Both power windows need to be replaced on my 85 too, driver side still creeps up and down, passenger side won't go up past a certain point. What kind of cost am I looking at to install the newer style, and how hard is it to do? If anyone has directions, that would be great! I'm not allowed on the track until I can get both windows to roll all the way up :(
