Seat belt light?
Where is the unit that makes the ding sound while in Park if your seatbelt is off on an 88?
Ever since I've bought the car my seatbelt light has intermittently (but infrequently) come on while driving whether I was wearing the seatbelt or not.
Today the light came on for a couple of minutes then went out, so I started gently knocking around to see if anything would shake and affect the light. Sure enough, just a bit to the left and above my radio made the light come on at will. I was in park and tried it with the seatbelt off, and the bell started dinging. It's rare that I hear the seatbelt bell.
What would be in that area that would cause my light to come on?
