KBD Targa Mufflers?
I saw these advertised in Ecklers. they look nice and are only $159.00 a pair with 3 inch tips. the catalog describes them as "Free-Flow" mufflers
does anyone have these or know more about them, and if they will give more HP?
MAD has a very similar product with the zr1 style tips that I am using. More HP ? may be maybe not . I do like the way they sound growly at idle quiet at cruise and pretty beefy under load. and they look good
They sound good..but the problem is that they will start to rust in about a year or so. If you get the stainless steel ones, you will not have that problem.

:iagree: I used to have them on my other vette (sold), really liked the sound and looks. One word of advice: get the stainless steel version. I wouldn't buy any exhaust items that aren't SS, just like I wouldn't dream of getting headers that aren't coated inside & out. Some folks slap on the aluminized junk and wonder why it looks like garbage a year or two later :(
I had them on my 89, looked good, but a lot of resonance. So i cut out the crossover tube on the rear "Y" pie and patched the holes - problem solved. They rotted out eventually, but considering that I haven't got a dehumidifier in my garage, I think they were good value for money.
I have the SS 3" models on my 91. Love the sound, love the mufflers. More HP? Don't know. Just gutted my cats and its a really nice combination. Only problem I ran into was when combining them with a new rear Y-pipe from Zip the whole setup was a bit wider and didn't fit exactly right. $50 at the muffler shop got it all straightened out and welded.
