I just happen to have a malory unlight distributor and a promaster coil.
since the coil and distro are seperate units the plug is diffrent than the one on the car. I tried to contact summit to see if the had an adaptor but they said it should plug right in, which it doesn't.
has anyone installed a distro with three wires and a seperate coil? and how did you connect it?
Your Unilite distributor has a centrifigul advance inside, and possibly a vacuum advance, also. It is not compatable with your present ECM comtrolled ignition system.
It's not vaccum advanced. but if it's not compatible with t he ECM the I'll just put in in my pile of parts to getrid of. maybe i'll get enough to buy a cap and rotor for my stock one.
thanks
I don't think I'd "deep six" it. They were great unit's, in their day. You never know... But then, that's the reason a I have a storage shed and a garage, that I can't get a car into. Good luck and...
