I was having starting problems for this past week, turns out my new Optima got fried, from the top post grinding into the Cruise Control metal bracket. I thought that was my complete problem until today. There is something else going on now, and I don't what it is.
Yesterday, I changed the battery with a brand new optima, cut the top positive post, to give clearance for the cruise control. Car fired up quick, took it out this morning, drove it all day, stopped, started, no problems. Battery was showing 14.5, then I believe before I parked it, it was at 14.1, not sure if that matters or not. Park it this evening, go to start it, totally DEAD, and I hear a continuous ticking/clicking noise coming from the dash area. What's that about?
Any ideas? Where do I continue to troubleshoot from here?
Re: My problem continues . . . ideas anyone? (96KICKS)
Relay possibly? but with the battery dead, shouldn't be able to power it?? Hmmmmm....??? Do you have PKE? A friend of mine's goes crazy near the car locking unlocking, if you left it overnight, or all day perhaps you would have a dead battery... Just a thought....
