Default 96 LT1 Shorty Headers

OK...first of all...let's pretend everyone LOVES shorty headers. But of all the brands out there, you have to pick the best one...Pacesetter, Hooker, SLP, Lingenfelter, etc. Also, if you happen to like Hookers, , which ones will fit my 96 LT1? I DO realize that longtubes are the way to go, but I have to maintain an emission compliant Vette here in Louisiana. Remember, we are pretending everyone LOVES shorty headers.

I have Hooker shorties on my 96 LT-1. I like them they are coated and used stage 8 bolts on them when installed. I would recommend using a better gasket if/when you install. I used the ones that came with it and have re-torqued a couple of times. They are a pain to put in and I had to cut and weld the AIR tube on the pass. side. Some have said they were able to bend but mine wouldn't work. The heat shield covers the weld. I noticed a pick up of HP I could break lose at will now. But I has other mods that I thinked helped with the headers. Plus they look way-

Go with 1 3/4 not 1 5/8. SLP's are very good. So are coated Hookers. Wouldn't buy Pacesetters. Just my opinion.
