still having a charging problem
I have a 1989 corvette with a blower on it. This set up has been fine for 3 years. Recently, the volts dropped to 11.5 and the abs light came on. I figured it was the altenator. After replacing the problem was still there. I brought it to the local dealer and they thought it was the altenator also. Again, same result. they said that because the altenator was spinning backwards (due to the supercharger) the system will not work. I explained that it has been this way for 3 years with no problems. Any ideas of something else I can check? I also checked the fusable link behind the battery and everything seemed in working order. I am not sure where to turn now.

Is the alternator putting out voltage? There are two links - one on the charge wire. The second to the regulator. If it's not displaying the idiot light in the info panel, suspect the regulator wire.
